Now, a new family-oriented movie—based on the rescue organization—provides an inside look at how caring for animals, can change lives.
(Release Date July 5, 2016) “Emma’s Chance” is a new PG family movie (distributed by Sony on DVD and Digital) based on Southern California’s respected Red Bucket Equine Rescue. The feature stars Greer Grammer in the title role, along with Joey Lawrence and Missi Pyle.
While fulfilling her community service hours at a horse rescue ranch, teenager Emma Bailey forms an unlikely bond with “Chance,” an abused show horse who won’t let anyone ride him. Gaining new skills and confidence, Emma hatches a plan to redeem herself and ultimately save the ranch she’s grown to love.
Chance is played by an actual rescued and rehabilitated horse from the Red Bucket Equine Rescue facility.
Written by Anna Elizabeth James and Tyler Konney, the feature is directed by James who tells a wholesome story of how humans and animals are healed and elevated through compassion and understanding.
Red Bucket Equine Rescue has to date rescued over 300 horses at its Chino Hills, California facility.
